Our Falcons GLOWED at the Capitol Area Special Olympics Music & Dance Festival today! They brought the fun with an electrifying dance to “Glo in the Dark” by Danny Go! complete with glowing sticks, big moves, and even bigger smiles. The floor was shining, the energy was contagious, and Frontier showed up ready to dance, cheer, and celebrate together. Way to light it up, Falcons! 🧡🩵✨ #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight

Our 5th graders recently brought history to life with an exciting, hands-on parliament simulation! Students stepped into the shoes of British colonists, debated and experienced being taxed to pay off war debts, and then dramatically “spilled the tea” while diving into a lively discussion about the Boston Tea Party. Interactive, engaging, and unforgettable learning in action! #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight

The team from CaveSim rolled into our school and transformed the day into a one-of-a-kind expedition beneath the surface of science, engineering, and discovery. A 26-foot mobile cave trailer was set up right on campus. With helmets on and LED lights shining, students stepped inside to explore a realistic cave environment filled with stalactites and stalagmites, carefully maneuvering through as they tried not to touch the formations! And that was just the beginning. They rotated through hands-on, interactive stations packed with excitement: a vertical caving tower, a cave-rescue stretcher team challenge, bat biology games, and more. Our 4th graders really rocked CaveSim! #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight

Reading is delicious! 📚 📖
Third grade rotated through five genre restaurants, which included Starbooks poetry, historical fiction diner, informational bistro, biography pizzeria, and a traditional literature bakery! Students tasted books from each genre, learned the elements of the genre, and eventually completed the writing process to share an informational story about genres.

Today was a blast in 5th grade as we traveled back in time to the Colonial Era! 🕯️Students rotated through immersive, hands-on stations: sketching silhouettes, playing colonial games, crafting candles, learning traditional dances, and exploring the world of an apothecary. They also enjoyed tea and a historical movie, met a colonial soldier, and captured memories at a themed photo booth! It was the perfect mix of fun, history, and discovery! 🪶📜⚔️ #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight

🚀 Our first graders had some very special visitors this week at Frontier! They loved meeting a builder, police officers, a nurse, a firefighter, and even a meteorologist. 🏗️👮‍♀️👩‍⚕️🚒🌦️ Each guest shared how they help our community, and our students were full of excitement and great questions. 🩵🧡

A huge thank you to Jessica Hill, Steve Liebl, Jed Castles, Michael King, and Derek Mecklenburg for inspiring our students and showing them how community helpers make a difference every day! ✨ #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight

🐻🎉 Our 4th graders had an un-bear-ably fun time wrapping up Fat Bear Week! To make it even more exciting, bears (and their favorite snack, salmon! 🐟) helped reveal the voting results… and the big winner was 32 Chunk! 🏆

This morning, we also welcomed a paw-some guest speaker who shared fascinating facts about bear conservation and taught us the bear-y big differences between the bears roaming Alaska and the ones here in Oklahoma. 🐾

It was a grr-eat mix of fun, learning, and wild adventure! 🌲

🗺️✨ Our 3rd graders took their mapping and geography skills to the next level with a giant floor map of Oklahoma! They explored latitude & longitude, absolute & relative location, border states, and parts of a map—all while walking across it. Because of an increasing number of student and staff absences this week, we have made the difficult decision to close school for all Edmond Public Schools for tomorrow, Friday, January 31st. Extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.   This decision was made in advance to give our families and staff members time to prepare. We will let you know as soon as possible how this instructional time will be made up.   We look forward to seeing your students back in class on Monday morning.
