Our third grade GATE students had a fun, hands-on opportunity to dive into the culture of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma through basket weaving! With help from representatives from the district’s Indian Education department, students learned how to create a traditional Cherokee basket while discovering unique traditions and stories from Cherokee culture. #FalconsRise #ShineYourLight
